Principal

Sera Porto-Drew

Sera graduated from Monash University with a combined degree, Bachelor of Science (major Pharmacology) and Bachelor of Law, in 1997.

Sera was  admitted  as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Victoria and Federal and High Courts of Australia in 1997 and currently has 19 years of experience in private practice.  Post admission, Sera worked for large and medium law firms in Melbourne’s CBD and Dandenong from 1997, until becoming the Principal of Porto Grace & Drew ("PGD") Lawyers in 2004, in Melbourne’s South East corridor.

Sera practices predominantly in corporate and commercial law, however has extensive experience in  property, litigation and wills and estates law. 

Sera's main aim in practice is to assist clients in implementing structures that safeguard the clients’ business and personal assets in order to  minimise potential risks to business and personal exposure down the track.

Sera prides herself on the fact that the team at PGD Lawyers are able to offer clients in Melbourne's  South East suburbs,  the calibre of legal services generally provided by large city firms.

Manpreet Kaur Singh

Manpreet originally joined Porto-Grace & Drew lawyers in July 2008. During her time with the firm she assisted a principal Sera Porto-Drew in various areas including business law, commercial law, property law, corporations law, conveyancing, wills and deceased estates, employment law, bankruptcy, debt recovery, mortgagee foreclosures and family law. The clients she has dealt with include individuals, small and medium enterprises and large commercial organisations.

Prior to joining Porto Grace & Drew Lawyers in 2008, Manpreet was employed by a boutique law firm in the city that specialised in commercial and property law.

In late 2009, Manpreet left the firm to live in Europe, specifically The Netherlands until March 2012. During her time there she completed a Master in Law & Technology. Her master thesis was based on online copyright infringement and the right of internet access.  

On the return to Australia, Manpreet has since rejoined Porto Grace & Drew Lawyers and continues working in her previous areas of law with an added area of intellectual property.

Manpreet obtained her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Monash University in 2005 and was admitted to practice as a solicitor and barrister in the Supreme Court of Victoria in November 2006.   

She brings with her practical experience and believes in delivering effective and timely advice to clients, including those with sensitivity.

Matthew F. Drew

Perception and persistence have been the hallmarks of Matthew’s approach to legal practice ever since the conception of Porto Grace & Drew Lawyers.

Matthew Drew has a strong and enduring commitment to quality, from its management systems and reporting through to the delivery of outstanding personal service to clients. In order to maintain these high standards, and allow the legal teams to concentrate on the provision of legal services, the firm relies on a Practice Manager to handle the various management functions associated with the firm.
Matthew has been working as a Practice Manager and Information Technology Manager in law firms since 2002. He has significant experience in the development and management of financial systems in the legal industry throughout his career.

Matthew’s keen interest in Practice Management has made it possible for him to develop a broad network of professionals that utilise each other skills and experiences to stay up-to-date with the most effective and current strategies available in this area.

Matthew’s life experiences and outgoing personality has been instrumental in the development of his strong interpersonal skills. His keen understanding of client issues coupled with his genuine empathy, has been a winning combination in the servicing of our client’s needs and providing the confidence that clients seek in often troubling situations.

Over the years Matthew has developed his managerial and IT skills, tailoring work processes to assist with the delivery of legal services, including sourcing, developing and “road testing” new software to increase efficiencies and reduce legal costs to clients.
